Fabrication & Installation
We have over 50 years of experience in fabricating and supplying reinforcing steel for all types of construction projects – from large scale industrial to smaller retail. OSCO Rebar is dedicated to producing a fabricated reinforcing steel product that meets or exceeds the requirements specified in the contract documents, designs, and specifications.
Our rebar is detailed in-house using the latest CAD technology offered by Bentley MicroStation / aSa to the latest CAN/CSA standard G30.18, CRSI and ASTM specifications.
The annual combined capacity at our Saint John and Bedford plants is currently 18,000+ tons.
Estimating, detailing, shop scheduling, tagging and shipping is performed using a computerized production management system, aSa (Applied Systems Associates). Rebar is installed using in-house or subcontracted crews depending on the project requirements.

Canadian sizes 45M and larger as well as Grade 500 rebar available to order in larger quantities.
Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebar custom ordered to project specifications.
Stainless Steel Rebar custom ordered to project specifications.

Bar Couplers
OSCO Rebar is an authorized distributor for Barsplice Products Inc. mechanical couplers. Barsplice couplers and terminators are recognized throughout North America for their performance and reliability.
OSCO Rebar’s Saint John Plant uses Barsplice’s cold-swaging technology to hydraulically compress the coupler (or terminator) around the rebar.
Products can then be shipped and easily installed on site.

Safety Channels
OSCO Rebar uses and supplies industry leading impalement protection – the JP Safety Channel.
Designed, engineered, and patented by HEWMAC Industries Ltd, the JP Safety Channel is a plastic trough that provides impact protection along the entire length of the channel, giving additional abrasion, scratch, and impalement protection against protruding rebar.
JP Safety Channels are manufactured in Canada and are OSHA and WCB compliant.
